It's Finally Here

Well, the time has finally arrived. In the morning, 4 AM to be exact, my daughter and I will be on our way to New Orleans. I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but my daughter Melissa will be accompaning me to the South. I feel very blessed to have her coming with me. I also am very blessed and very humbled to be doing work in the name of the Lord. So many people have prayed for us, passed along their greetings, and most importantly their financial support. I can not say enough "THANK YOU'S" to all those that have been involved in my ministry thus far. Please remember it's not about me and its not about travelling half way around the world, its about helping one another. Sometimes that help is needed right in our own back yards. Most importantly, its about projecting the image of Jesus, the image of Love and Kindness, that is what our main goal is for these missions.
I'm not sure what capabilities I will have to post my blog once we're there, as I'm not even sure where we are staying. We have changed our plans, and now will be going house to house to offer our help to the local people, doing what ever needs to be done. So this might be it for a few days.
Again, to all those people that have followed this blog and my ministry, may GOD continue to bless each and everyone of you.

One Week

Well, I haven't forgotten about the blog, but have been extremely busy with life, and also getting ready for the return visit to New Orleans. I am so blessed this trip to be taking my daughter Melissa with me. She has such a heart for people, so its a win win situation for everyone.

Just heard from an old friend living in B.C. via my web site, and she explained how she wanted to take in people from Hurricane Katrina, but was unable to do so. Isn't cool to know that there are so many people out there that have such big hearts. If there is anyone reading this that might have a story or testimony that they might want to share, please make sure that you contact me on this site or go to www.simplemissions.com and drop me a line there. Anyway, I promise to stay in touch this week, before Saturday, as that is the day that we fly to New Orleans.

Count down has begun

Well the count down has begun. Only 27 more days till I return to New Orleans, can't wait. I am simply amazed at how God has worked in life up to this point. If I said that I knew what I was going to be doing when I arrived there, it would not be true. People keep aksing me, "What are you going to do when you are down there", I have no idea. What ever is required, that is what will get done. Last night, I had the opportunity to speak @ Elim Tabernacle in Saskatoon, what an awesome experience to finally get to speak to lots of people and share my testimony about how God has been working in and thru me, this year. I also had a small opportunity to share about my ministry, www.simplemissions.com and I could not believe the response that I recieved. It is truely amazing to know that there are so many people out there want to help others. Really cool. I most amazing part of the evening was when people in the congregration were able to share, their personal testimony's about the work of God in their lives. Very humbling to say the least, and very uplifting.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all those that read this blog.
